CREDIT CARDS:
The most widely accepted cards In India are MasterCard and Visa. American Express is generally accepted by major hotels and restaurants.

Make sure to call your banks or go online and let them know you will be traveling to India and abroad. International cards will not work everywhere and smaller sellers only accept cash, so it’s best to keep some rupees as a backup option.
